The building, also known as Wonnerth House, preserves its 16th-century architecture, blending modern amenities with Transylvanian Saxon architecture and décor. Right at the entrance to The Throne, you are welcomed by a medieval-style wine cellar, an attraction in itself thanks to its rustic setting and a church clock with a bell that is over 100 years old.

The Throne offers 12 rooms for rent, each with its own distinctive style and décor. The Gothic architecture, supported by stone arches, the Gothic ceiling that still bears a 15th-century fresco, and the walls made of brick and river stone offer visitors a unique journey through time.

We offer support with event planning and additional services such as DJ and sound system, decorations, entertainment, cooking shows or flair shows, in the heart of the citadel, in The Throne wine cellar, within a museum setting, as well as in a traditional Saxon setting at our venue located just outside Sighișoara: Șura din Seleuș. This is a museum guesthouse, an 18th-century Saxon house that offers a unique archaic atmosphere, where you will be surrounded by antique furniture and period collectibles. Over time, we have hosted a wide range of events, from classic weddings, baptisms and civil ceremonies to company parties, product launches, retreats and intimate dinners, for groups of 20 to 80 people.
We invite you to spend an afternoon in an authentic Saxon household in the village of Seleuș, just outside Sighișoara, only 7 km away. Here, you will enjoy a traditional meal and can even learn how to prepare a traditional dessert recipe: the most popular dessert in the area, Lichiu. The visit to the barn lasts approximately three and a half hours.
